Syndicate Law

The nomination requirements are in accordance with Syndicate Law No. 210 of 1980, as amended by Law No. 65 of 2002, as follows:

1-A candidate for the position of President of the Syndicate must have been a member of the Syndicate for no less than 15 years.

2-A candidate for membership in the Syndicate Council (Head Office) must have been a member of the Syndicate for no less than 10 years.

3-A candidate for membership in the Syndicate Council in the provincial branches must have been a member of the Syndicate for no less than 7 years.

4-A candidate for membership in the Disciplinary Committee must have been a member of the Syndicate for no less than 15 years. The candidate must also meet the following conditions:

1-Must have renewed the professional practice license for the year 2026.

2-Must not have been convicted of a misdemeanor or an offense involving moral turpitude.

3-Must pay a specified fee, for which an official receipt shall be issued by the Syndicate.

4-The names of the candidates shall be submitted to the Accountability and Justice Commission.

5-Nomination applications for candidates in the provinces shall be submitted to the sub-preparatory committees, while applications for candidates at the Head Office shall be submitted in Baghdad (Head Office) to the Central Preparatory Committee.
