Diyala Veterinary Doctors Syndicate Discusses Strengthening Cooperation with the Health Directorate to Support Health Monitoring and Food Safety

he Head of the Diyala Branch of the Veterinary Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Anas Abdullah Al-Zubaidi, received a delegation from the Diyala Health Directorate / Public Health Department – Health Monitoring Division, to discuss ways of enhancing joint cooperation and the role of veterinarians in supporting health and service projects related to public health and food safety.

In line with the directives of the President of the Veterinary Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Anas Abdullah Al-Zubaidi, Head of the Diyala Branch of the Veterinary Doctors Syndicate, today received a delegation from the Diyala Health Directorate / Public Health Department – Health Monitoring Division. The delegation included Dr. Sanaa Mahmoud Abd, Deputy Assistant Director of the Health Monitoring Division, Mr. Murad Riyadh Kamal, Medical Technician Specialist, and Mr. Firas Amer Mustafa, Senior Prevention Assistant. During the meeting, discussions focused on the importance of the pivotal role of veterinarians in health and service projects, particularly in factories, malls, and projects related to public health and food safety, as veterinarians represent a fundamental pillar in protecting society and promoting the concept of “One Health,” which links human, animal, and environmental health. The two sides also discussed prospects for joint cooperation between health and syndicate institutions in a way that contributes to developing monitoring and preventive work and supports efforts aimed at preserving public health and improving the level of services provided to citizens. For its part, the visiting delegation praised the effective role played by the Veterinary Doctors Syndicate in supporting veterinary staff and strengthening cooperation and coordination with health institutions, in a manner that serves the public interest and enhances professional integration among the various related sectors.
