Under the directives of the President of the Veterinary Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Alaa Hussein Al-Hasnawi, the Diyala Branch of the Veterinary Doctors Syndicate signed several employment contracts this morning between veterinarians and owners of a number of commercial malls, as part of the syndicate’s plan aimed at strengthening health monitoring of animal products and ensuring that meat, cheese, dairy products, and eggs reach citizens in a healthy and safe manner. The syndicate confirmed that this step comes within the framework of strengthening the supervisory role of veterinarians inside markets and commercial centers, contributing to monitoring the safety of animal products and ensuring their compliance with approved health standards, in order to protect consumers’ health and support the food security system. The initiative also aims to provide job opportunities for veterinarians and involve them effectively in public health projects, thereby enhancing their professional and societal role in implementing the concept of “One Health,” which links human health, animal health, and environmental safety. The Veterinary Doctors Syndicate continues its efforts to support veterinary staff and expand their fields of work through cooperation with institutions and the private sector, in a manner that positively reflects on the level of services provided to citizens and serves the public interest.
